2023 Volvo Lineup will be 100% hybrid or electric
June 29 2022,
Volvo announced this week that it will only sell mild-hybrid, hybrid, or electric vehicles in 2023. That means that current vehicles in the Volvo lineup that feature a traditional gas engine will receive at minimum a mild-hybrid powertrain.
Volvo began the shift towards electrifying its entire lineup when it introduced new B5 and B6 engines on the Volvo XC60 earlier in 2022. Now, models that have a T4, T5, or T6 engine like the Volvo XC40 or the Volvo XC90 will offer new B4, B5, and B6 mild-hybrid powertrains. If the improvements made to the 2022 Volvo XC60 B5 and B6 engines are any indication, we expect to see significant gains in efficiency in the new B4 powertrains as well as a smoother overall experience.
The new 2023 Volvo vehicle lineup will begin arriving this summer. Among the other improvements made to the lineup, we find the introduction of Google built-in across the entire lineup. That means that every 2023 Volvo will feature all of the impressive capability of the Google built-in system. The latter offers impressive features such as Google Assistant for voice control as well as Google Maps for navigation and the Google Play store for the apps.
New colours, wheels, and interior finishes will be available across the 2023 Volvo lineup. The trim structure will include CORE, PLUS, and ULTIMATE specification models for every vehicle. Give us a call today to learn more about the upcoming 2023 Volvo vehicle lineup.
